Self-Realization

 Paramahansa Yogananda defined Self-realization as "the knowing — in body, mind, and soul - that we are one with the omnipresence of God; that we do not have to pray that it come to us, that we are not merely near it at all times, but that God’s omnipresence is our omnipresence; that we are just as much a part of Him now as we ever will be. All we have to do is improve our knowing."

Can I add that to help remember this constantly, everything we do should be out of love for God, not because it's our duty or because we feel we should do it because it's the right thing to do. If you love someone, you seem to always be thinking of that person, always doing things for them because you love that person, not because you feel it's what you should do.

Self Realization to me would be easy as pie if I could just remember this, but alas I am used to the physical world and love in the spirit world for me is sometimes hard to grasp and hold onto when we are not meditating.

SI, love is shown by deeds, not by words.

So I daresay, if we are able to go on notwithstanding all the obstacles on the spiritual path, we are providing hard evidence of the presence of some love and devotion.

I'm sure it does not go unnoticed.
