It's a fine line for me, on one hand you can't let others tread on you, but at the same time be meek.

If you must be a spiritual soldier, it's not easy to come off to others in a way that they will not think you're just being egotistical. Even that statement could be misconstrued and is open for others to contradict.

Actually those who can speak well spiritual or no can find contradiction in just about any discussion.

Should we then really care what others think rather should just concentrate on our own deal?

I know the story about Yukteswar telling Yogananda to behave, or be aware of how others see you. But how can we tell others what to do when we have not perfected our own being?

And maybe we are off in our perceptions of others anyhow.
