It is interesting that we need to often investigate the feelings of ourselves and those around us. This often leads to relocating. Because of the work i am engaged in i can relocate easier where others seem more tied down to certain areas and locals.

i have found it most important to me to be in the presence of others who meditate, while not just talking about it and places where i feel love from others and for others. This is has been quite a part of my awareness lately.

Sometimes significant encounters happen with other people who add much meaning to our life. When they leave us or they pass to the other side; It often leaves us empty for a while and in search of something or someone to fill that space. That something if it can not be found in those around us can nevertheless be found within us. Although we often must find the conditions that are conducive to that. From time to time the people we are around and the environment we have chosen needs to be looked at and see if it is adequately satisfying those needs.

At times in our life we may try to reconnect with those we have known from the past and found that for various reasons we are not able to return to the way it was. We may be able to connect with them on some level but may find that we now have a much different situation before us and those we have tried to connect with have retreated back into a previous mode of living.

There are also people and environments that have given us great joy or a lot of suffering. Some of these things we have to keep in mind when we make decisions of who we want to be with and where we want to be.

i have been in most states of the United Clones of America. Here in cloneland there are some places i do not have the proclivity to go to unless there is a special event there or i am required to because of my job. It is clear to me that it is a result of suffering in the recent or distant past. Other places are inspiring and spiritually uplifting.

Because of a past life i associate with the Civil War i have no compunction to return to the south. Once i was required to and someone i was with had curly hair and black features although white. We stopped in a Wendy's Clone restaurant. He was asked to step in a separate line. He asked why and it was explained to him that black people had a separate line.  (in Alabama) We talked to the manager. He said 'that is the way people feel here.' (in Alabama) It only reaffirmed my past experiences and ability to make more positive choices.

Mccoy

Yea that happened just a couple years ago! Do u have any prejudice like that in Italy? Ours dates back to slave trading days. It's a false superiority that one race has over another. I do not know if Italy had its slave period like the United Clones of America. Cloneland has quite a few closed cloned minds!

I remember standing on my head and doing yoga postures as a teen ager.
I did my routine during gym class. The gym teacher did not know what to make of me.
So he asked me if I would b his secretary in his office as not to disrupt class format.
That's what u get when your born in Cloneland.

Steve no, in Italy there is no memory of slavery since the fall of the Roman Empire. Historically, in Italy there has been no or very little racial prejudice, against jews, African or other races, probably because Italy is such a mixture of races, having been invaded by many countries. Due exceptions taken of course, maybe 5 to 10% people are really racist.

Recently there are concerns though about the many immigrants and refugees coming from Africa. They are too many coming in an economic slump, so the concerns start taking up a racist connotation.

Africans (and other nationalities) often cross the Sahara desert on desert roads in a very adventurous and Dangerous trip, then they are stocked in concentration camps in Lybia, where women are subjec to violence and men must shut up, then they are crammed onto old boats for the final lag toward the Italian coasts. And they have to pay for all that. Organized crime arranges the trip. People who do not have much money go under the bridges in boats, and often suffocate. Many people drown after the old boats sink down.

it's interesting, how we forget that many in the world are not just trying to "get by somehow",
but beyond that,
they are simply trying to literally "survive".

compassion can be a tough thing to imbibe at times,
and fear can wave through us regarding the "carrying capacity of the land" for a "herd this size"...
so yes, we should guard when we notice in our thoughts a tendency to seperate, not expand our expressions as (human) beings for a short time (in repeated cycles)... what energy is it within myself that this Maya plays on us...
such suffering at times...

i was happy to see that u replied to this Scotty. Sometimes we just do not know how to respond and it is a relief when someone does know how to and does. However we can pray for these people.

I recently read Chris Kyle's book 'American sniper'. He fought in Irak against insurgents, in places where the living conditions of the civilian populations are extremely bad.

In an interview in a TV program I grasped these words he said to the anchor man: "In America, we live in a dreamworld". That impressed me. That's true of America and most western countries of course. We live in a privileged condition. Many people in the world live in a real hell. We tend to forget about that.

unfortunately there is not an immediate  solution to that, but praying like Steve says.

Laila count yourself fortunate to be in the presence of others who understand the importance of diet and it's affect on our planet and ourselves. It is surprising how others ignore the issues.

I live on the west coast of Canada, McCoy.   There are quite a lot of "alternative" lifestyle people here, which includes vegans and raw vegans, environmental and animal activists, etc.    Of course there are still a lot of "regular people" and meat eaters too !    But, we're working on them ………    Smiley

That sounds like a great farm, dr. kook !!!!

Yes well your pictures brought it home to us. You've got to be insensitive to see this and ignore it. We Are The World. If we have no compassion we are these frightful little bodies and minds separated from the the rest of the human race.
