By a quick search I didn't find any more detailed material on the Ceres' bright spots but found soem interesting website like this one. I'll have to read some material myself, Some planet like Mars are being studied like they were a hill in front of us.

i found your link much more convincing especially since we have found: "Titan’s largest distinct and highly reflective surface feature, named Xanadu, is located close to the equator." We can extrapolate very easily that this phenomena is likely other places as well.
