The edges of the white spots appear to be very irregular, that would be against it being an artifact...They seem to be inside a crater, which might have protected the ice if it is ice...
It would be a crater within a crater? Since you can see a larger round basin that the white spots are placed in. How do we explain the dark whole or object in the ridge? It does look like the edges are irregular as though it is salt or ice fading out.
Interesting; Ceres rotates about every 9 days so if there were lites it seems like they would show up when it is dark. All the pictures seem to be in the lite. This is also of interest:
