I still think that silence is the most important part of meditation. Maybe that’s because, as a person I’m really very seldom silent. I socialize a lot and love chatting with people. I also love singing, playing music and exercise! Although I know that my goal is not to engage in these pass times during meditation. The more quiet the environment… the better for meditating.

There is really nothing better I can think of for me than being still. It brings inspiration. Makes me more receptive. Helps me rest my heart. Lower my blood pressure. Recognize things through introspection. Gives me flashes of insight. Helps me be more responsive and receptive. A better listener.
