I think we all have the problem of living in our own heads... though in some people it is more pronounced.
Steve, that's an important insight, sometimes we forget that other individuals have a totally different mental outlook. As a matter of fact, when we see something which looks flawed in the attitude of other people, I believe we should first thing search for that same flaw in ourselves. In such a way, the flaw in the Others will have a double purpose§:
1) If we have it, even in a small degree, we have been reminded that we share that flaw and we should work hard at overcoming that
2) If we don't have it, probably we had it in the past and should be grateful (to God and Gurus) and satisfied (with ourselves) that we have overcome it.
Recently i had this conversation with mccoy. I though it was important so i made a thread out of it. I hope he does not mind.
