And in the beginning was the word. And the word was with God. And the word was God. Not the Bible. It had not been written yet. But the om. Sometimes you can hear that sound during meditation. The cosmic motor. The sound of creation.

You can merge yourself in this sound. That is why people meditate on this sound. It is God speaking. I heard this sound in the stillness of the desert. Sometimes I hear it in meditation. It sounds similar to wind blowing high up in the trees in a forest or like the roar of the ocean.

I stopped my car and stepped outside. That nite there was nothing...No wind. No ocean...Just deafening stillness and the magnificence of the stars carpeting the sky.  And out of the silence came God's presence in the sound of om.
