People will be disappointed if they meditate, expecting a third eye to open after closing the other two.

A devastating statement, in its truthfulness! I too have spent some periods of my life meditating regularlydaily and many hours on weekends. With no visible results. That did not discourage me from following this path, but made it evident that things are not so simple as turning a switch on, as perhaps it may sound from a first reading of the Autobiography.
