For some reason I feel I'm more in tune with Sri Yukteswar than Lahiri or even Yogananda. Well sometimes, it goes back and forth it seems. Sri Yukteswar seems like a no BS kind of guy, I like that.

I once had a teacher in college who reminds me of how Sri Yukteswar's personality is described. He had a huge influence on me and I feel thankful for having the privilege to met him. He was no ordinary man, no ordinary teacher. He said, "Know thyself." How many college teachers say that? He would stand outside of his classroom door looking at his watch. If anyone was one second late, he was late.

I asked him, "What do you think of eastern gurus?"

He said, "...If you can find the right one."

He also said, "If you aren't willing to hear both sides of an argument you are wrong...whether you are right or not."

Not to distract from the subject of Sri Yukteswar. It's just that the way Sri Yukteswar is described reminds me so much of this teacher I had.
