you're aware of this one: tea tree oil.
this sucker has really saved me form having to consume over the counter penicillin. i recently was bit by a spider in my sleep and it caused a bacterial infection that formed a red line spread down my side and towards my pelvis. i read some natural remedies and found mixing coconut oil with tea tree oil to work wonders. i'm feeling just fine.
i thought the spider totem must have been speaking to me for all of this to occur.
Tea tree oil and citronella oil are good for keeping insects like mosquitoes away also. Good to know that you see it as something calling to your attention. That is not always so easy to ascertain.
