Back in 1978 the new temple was not yet built. Turiyananda spoke to me about the hill where the new temple is now built at the Lake Shrine.

He told me he saw black astral clouds in the area and that we needed to terrace the hill. I asked why. He told me that we should be resposible about the fact that if it rained a lot, mud would come down the hill into the adjacent property where there were apartments.

When I came to the Lake Shrine I volunteered to help terrace the hill. It surprised me that 6 months later the Los Angeles mud slides occured. Many houses were  damaged.
