Hello Scott I found the article you included in this section very helpful. Like anything in this reality some of it does not ring true with our cosciosness; our present state of being. Personally sex for the purpose of procreation seems quite out of line with the present population explosion and the awful results of it that I recently experienced in southern California.Some religions and cultures have made the places they live oppressive with suffocating human over population. How can we respect the procreative use of sex when we see its outcome in destruction to mother earth? 'Be fruitful and multiply' proves how wrong the Bible can be if applied to all present circumstances.

On the otherhand sex as an expression of love and afffection seems much more constructive.
Closeness, physically, emotionally and most of all spiritually is a very potent way of learning and growing. We learn much by being alone also. There is a time for everything. I do not believe that being a celibate makes one spiritual unless someone has really risen above the desires of this world and the desires in our consciousness. In the meantime sex and physical expression of love and affection can have a higher and higher expression.
