it is interesting to observe the rainbow spectrum after a rainstorm !
To experience the subtle light (or sound) vibrations within our Being is even moreso !
-- the reflection of where our consciousness and energy are flowing within our Being
(so simple)
(as phenomena, it)
may prove useful hint, guidepost, or tool,
yet may distract and cause a lingering if mistaken for Goal...
(if we become satisfied with seeing or feeling the echos in the subtle sheaths of our garment flowing, and become long delayed like at an amusement along the highway to our final destination.)
in and of itself,
seems we not directly strive for,
moreso gently accept as the breeze...
it is significant that the Rishis state that while these are significant,
some great saints may not experience the phenomena much,
yet the saints are emersed in the Divine Compassions in service, and life itself...
(interesting isn't it... )
For many decades of meditation I was basically in darkness in an internal visual sense. So when I see any type of light now i immerse myself in it. However I also tried to immerse myself in the darkness and enveloped myself in it. I was just thinking O.K. if this is what I am being given; I accept it because I have faith in the meditation the Masters taught me.
Going beyond all frames of reference and guideposts probably seems remote for most of us. Yet we can also immerse ourselves in peace, bliss or love and sound: Or in our prayers and meditation techniques. Some of us immerse ourselves in God's presence in the service of others. I'm probably just saying the same things you said Namaste2All just in different words.
