I was reading discourse of swami chinmayanand on kaivalya upnishad.saeva maya parimohit atma. sarirumsathaya karoti sarvam.
stree ann paan adi vichitra bhoge saeva jagrit paritript mein he. deluded by his own delusion, the soul identifies with body and does everything. he try to satisfy himself with women, food, drink and different enjoyment all his waking hours.
While in the body there is always desire until we are liberated. What seems to be happening to me this life time is that is a recognition of these various enjoyments I/we seek and to see how others and myself are slaves to such identifications to the
body. The tragedy of life is that most of humanity do not have any understanding that we are actually spirits in a material world. Yet their are those who recognize it yet when we watch them carefully they are still immersed in body consciousness despite the fact they preach otherwise. So I am working on my own balance as many of us on the path are.. Slowly overcoming the body consciousness while not denying that it still exists. Master did not demand that we practice austerities. Denying and forcing spirituality causes rebellion and supression. We work with the tools of tranformation: kriya yoga. Slowly the desire nature is transformed. Rome was not conquered in a day. Yet it was defeated and we to will defeat all desire. But battering ourselves because we fall does not help.
Occasionally other people come in our lives that help us towards our goals. Love is a power that has
transforming affects on us. But forcing issues only causes resistance and resentment. We are blooming.
The petals are opening yet we cannot force them open.
