In this world we live in with all its different forms of communication this is something I recently have concluded from many observations. Some people like to communicate by phone. Others by text. Others by forum. Others by the forum of their preference. Others in person and still others by the old fashion way of writing letters.  We can communicate non - verbally, as for instance, in meditation as well.

There can be a cold war going on when one person says: "I don't do the texting thing." or another says I only have time for Facebook or this forum or that one. Or I would rather communicate in person. Or I only have time for one forum. Some people drop out for a while and live in their own imaginary self-centered personal life. The implication of this is that if you want to communicate with me you will have to do it my way.

I remember leaving the Los Angeles area and having Brother Bhaktananda writing a letter to me asking me how i was doing with some friendly correspondence. Imagine someone with that many responsibilities taking time to communicate with a devotee who had left the area. This was a human being who was flexible-an angellic soul. Many times i find inflexibility in devotees on the path. This can destroy or deteriorate relationships. When one person has to do all the bending and compromising in a relationship soon we begin to look for more flexible friends and associates.
