Everyone deserves someone to make you look forward to tomorrow, next week, next month, next year & the rest of your life. 

  Yes i understand what you are saying Alfie. We use metaphors and oxymorons to describe ourselves and our lives. i just find it interesting: Here i am at the Mad Greek Restaurant again reminded of the Greek philosophers and suddenly i hear a woman in the booth next to me saying: "I know who i am. i do not know about you." i am thinking to myself do we even begin to recognize how we set up our lives thinking we do know who we are? We set ourselves up for so many surprises that way. But then again if we knew we would not be able to do the dance. The dance of life. Or at the very least it would be done in avery differnt manner.

It is just good to keep in mind we really can not imagine how a relationship will turn out. It is always much different than we were prepared to imagine. Many times in life we can look back and see that the person we looked forward towards tomorrow, next week, next month next year and the rest of our lives was no other than the one that walks in our shoes. Because when we look back we have learned incredibly from the experience of being alone. Yet we have been trained to believe aloness is somehow something banished or wrong.

Others can make us feel this way through the relationships that they boast about. That is O.K. People believe they need others to somehow affirm their existance and i am not speaking bad of such things. Yet have you ever stopped to think what we do to validify our lives? What subtle ways the ego needs to be pacified by outside influences? We as loners should often be very happy that spirit is leading us into and on a very important path for a time. A path into our own being where the source of all the joy and love we are looking for in others resides.
