There are people who r mentally or spiritually sick. It takes wisdom
in the ability to recognize this. They live under the guise of spirituality yet they do not treat others in a spiritual manner. They have no idea that friendship requires reciprocity and the ability to share. But if it is not done their way then there is an unwillingness to continue a relationship. You can see this every day in people who refuse to talk with us unless we communicate the way and manner in which they r comfortable or unless we conform to their idea of a relationship. This is selfishness. If we cannot identify this in others and ourselves then we can feel as though we have done something inappropriate when in reality it is the issues that someone else may have. In this sense it is very important to understand that there r people who do not have a sufficiently developed heart to maintain a relationship when events change in our life.

They cannot even begin to understand many people around them because they do not have the capacity to reach out to others unless it is on their terms. There are obviously others who can share and want to meet people half way. I am fortunate to b in their presence here and in my life. This thread started with a statement on friendship. i would like to requote it slightly different yet still in the spirit of its meaning; Co-operation is important in friendship, 'friendship comes from trust, and trust comes from kind-heartedness..'
