Very few people understand that friendship is not a temporary thing. It is something people work on from life to life. Discarding friends like paper plates or cans is very superficial and leads to being alone and being lonely.
Friends that stay with each other thru thick and thin know the true meaning of support, endurance and depth in friendship. Brother Anandamoy once said that when you see some people who stay together as friends, brothers and sisters, business companions etc. This is not by coincidence but is an indication of life times of hard work on these relationships.
