We are so used to doing something it is difficult to get in the meditate mode. That is why we even need something to do when
we meditate. There are techniques to do to take us out of the do mode and into the being and witnessing mode. Why do people
enjoy pot, alcohol and sex? Because they alter our awareness and we are temporarily taken out of the do mode and we are
transported into the being mode. We witness an altered state of consciousness. The only way to find this altered state of being
in a natural way is thru meditation. Thru meditation our need to seek thrills outside ourselves is lessened. It is a natural high.
Yet it is something we have to practice and give time to. We have to pull ourselves away from texting and turn off the T.V. and
sit in silence to satisfy this insatiable need of the soul to find bliss and happiness. If we do not practice this we will find ourselves continuously brought back into the do mode and their will be no end to the turmoil presented by our actions.

it's no coincidence that i've read this post and shortly after watched a unique show called weed country and then this beautiful film by graham hancock the war on consciousness wherein hancock explains this type of consciousness, the do mode also known as the problem solving mode... i.e, quicker beta brainwaves
vs. the altered states of consciousness filled with spirit messages much like meditation where the brain experiences an altered state- a delta state.
watch this and notice the similarities between his efforts and yours to help those who seeks to break away from the every day 'DO' mode and into the all to often unexplored depths of the soul
hancock briefly covers the low leveled negative effects of alcohol and caffeine versus using a far more potent and shunned upon made illegal hallucinogenics-
this video was released by TED but later censored
watch, very powerful
