We sit down and try to still ourselves yet we only think of THINGS WE HAVE TO DO. If we give a little thought to it there is nothing so important as our search for God. 100 years from now you and I will no longer be here and all the things we thought to be so important will be gone. Even the people we thought were so important; will they remember us?? Many of them have already gone. Most of us are locked into famalies because of karma. Not even out of a real joy of being with such people.
Where is this joy and happiness we are looking for? Is it in others? Are these others that gave us such happiness around today?

The happiness we are really seeking is inside ourselves. Others who recognize this are attracted to us and we are attracted to them. There is joy within us. Yet why don't we always experience it when we look for iit? It is because we are looking for it everywhere except within ourselves. Then when we look for it within ourselves, WE THINK about all the problems we have created for ourselves and all the people and places that have not given us the happiness we still seek. So we need to recognize
that a period of reorientation has to take place; a time in which we recognize that getting a house. Getting a mate. Getting a car.
Getting our bills payed. Getting attention. All this getting is not going to give us the lasting happiness we seek. That is why it is
said: Seek yea first the kingdom of heaven and all these things will be added to you and that the kingdom of heaven is within. So here we are back at square one. Meditating.
