loosing friends

  I recently called a friend several times from out west but
continued to get this message that the phone  was  out
of order.  I tried to call her family but the name was too common
and there were several names the same. I decided to take a trip
to Michigan and spend sometime with her, Dan and other friends that
wanted to see me and had expressed it.
Dan (elfun) looked up her name on the internet and found that she made her
transition. This is a woman I have known longer than anyone in my
life. I have this feeling that I will see her again.
It is somewhat like a chapter ending in your life.

There are some people who have taken there own
lives around me and there are others I have
lost track of. I think it is important to let people
know how much you care about them. I feel
that I have done that. There is not  much
more we can do. Life gives and takes away.
We are a witness to it all. If we get to attached
we only suffer. I am fortunate for the friends
here in my life now. I constantly remind myself
of this.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend, she was such a dear person. Even though she is physically no longer with us, she remains in your heart and in your memories. May she rest in peace til you next meet.
