I came across this wonderful poem and thought I would share...It can have different meaning for many, as well as myself....~Enjoy~

My Scars and Wounds”

My scars and wounds are beautiful.

As they cut into the self created prison.

All of my pain was there to wake me up from the dream I was having.

The suffering was from the resistance to this.

The suffering was from the belief that I was separate from LOVE.

But my pain was a crucial part in my waking up process.

How else could I break out of a prison if I didn’t know it was a prison?

How else would I have learned how to forgive?

My scars and wounds cut me open so my true nature can shine through.

My scars and wounds remind me that this is only a costume I am wearing.

I can start to see my Light shining through the wounds.

These scars and wounds remind me that I am not the costume I wear.

My pain, once accepted, is the catalyst for me to rise from and above my ashes.

Without the darkest hour, I would have not known what the Dawn is.

I thank these dark times that I have emerged from.

I thank every single thing that has seemed to happen to me for without it, I would not be HERE, Rising.

My scars and wounds have dug so deep into my costume that now I have no choice but to allow the costume to fall off.

To finally be free and naked.

To SEE my Self for the first time exactly how I AM.

Not how people told me I am or the conditioning I have believed for far too long.

But I SEE my Self as the pure untouched Being that has always been and will always BE.

And without the pain forcefully yet lovingly there to wake me up, I would have continued to have a well put together costume on.
