The sadness and feeling of betrayal from such a loss, Steve, I find is the hardest part to let go of.

The sadness feels like a reminder of the times when the friendship was so powerful, beautiful and nurturing to both of us.  It feels like a big question mark mixed with an emotional wound, something I want to heal, but why do I try to heal it by asking for the help of the one who caused it?  It is confusing, because they were once so trust-worthy, perhaps when the weather felt breezy, sunny and easy to them...

I need to let go of expecting the one who said "we would be each other's good friend for life" to reach out with love and peace, because they haven't in so long, and have already let me down in a way I never would with any friend in need.

I love them, I wish them well.  I hope there is a valuable lesson they are seeking which will help their evolution.

I'm grateful for the valuable lessons their Love and "fair weatherness" have to teach me.

I'm glad I have this space, at least, to communicate my sorrow and desire to grow stronger and wiser from this disappointing loss.

Thank you Steve (:

This post is about more than just one person, really.  Me, another, and others before them... others who I have yet to meet who may show themselves to be "fair-weathered friends" over time...

This is a part of Life and Nature which must me acknowledged for what it is, and accepted as a part of God's Holy Universe.

I am grateful to be Alive in this World!!!  And to be able to Love as much as I have, to be Loved as much as I have felt, and to seek reciprocal and unconditional Love now and in the future with ALL MY HEART!!!
