Today i am at a gym at the 'y'. Everybody is using exercise machines.I asked for a separate room where I could energize. I feel so fortunate to have these exercises that Yogananda created. Because they are helpful in the process of recognizing that we are more than the human body. We are energy.
They are the best for me.
The sort of jog in place one though, I always wonder if that is an exercise to see if you can keep you heart rate slow (since if you are going to be meditating afterwards, you may not want that), or if it's just an energy exercise with no attempt to maintain heart rate. Once in a while, it seems I can do that and not have my heart rate increase much at all, but those days are not very common.
