(((HUGGGS))) beautiful, yoshi

I could not agree more, and I would love to hear your thoughts on an idea of mine.

I was recently discussing with someone about how I feel that the closest experience that the mortal mind has to post-death/afterlife.. is dreams.

Many of the things in our dreams come from different levels of our consciousness, e.g. subconsciousness.. and only when we wake up, and hopefully remember, can we start to make sense of where certain things we dreamed came from in real life.  But in dreams, we often may feel like we have been in that world and have a "dream identity" there for much longer than the time we spend dreaming in "real" life.

I think the way we experience the afterlife, although much different, might be similar in the fact that the experiences our soul has are influenced and affected by the choices, thoughts, feelings, experiences of the mortal mind.  In essence, the way we deal with and experience reality through the small mortal life helps to shape our greater eternal soul experiences.  Making sense so far?

In this comparison, the difference with dreams is what you said yoshi:  Whereas the afterlife is probably a much more direct soul experience, dreaming is the soul's experience filtered through the physical mind so it has to use images that it understands/is familiar with.

Long story short.. perhaps dreams are the physical mind's way of catching a peak of how our mortal reality is or has been shaping/influencing our very soul itself?

OR, the alternative:  perhaps I am just a crazy young'n with a big imagination and too much time on my hands. Grin Tongue
