As it stands for most of us meditating, the desires themselves direct our mind so that no stillness is possible. In the moments of stillness there is no desire. Everything becomes clear. Even a few moments of settling the minds constant activity brings an awareness of what activities need to be done apart from any personal desires. No desires need to be fulfilled if we are satisfied with what is.
