For me personally the way to lose myself in GOD is through meditation. i also associate the experiences of 'losing myself in GOD' to meditation since no amount of indoctrination into religious views provided such experiences. i have witnessed most people who neglect to meditate and continue with their religious practices becoming relgious and political fanatics who try to force their views on others.
