hey Jitendra ! Without a desire for life, what is there ? We are on Earth, put here for a reason.
It is thru experiences one learns, without life's experiences how are the lessons learned ?
Might as well just stay floating as soul, yearning so much not to be here, just stay with God in the first place .... why bother coming down to Earth ?
Might as well enjoy, in moderation, some of the pleasures here on Earth.
Think there needs to be some balance, spiritual life and other.
i believe that those on the path may initially have these inclinations. It is almost a death wish. However i think that it is natural since the soul has a dim recollection of the work already done to 'kill' the ego. It is the desire for life that often causes so many problems since we want to experience our desires in the outer world. There must be the 'death' of this desire replaced with the desire for emancipation and liberation.
Buddhists believe karma keeps one trapped in an endless cycle of death and rebirth (samsara), and the only way out is through enlightenment. To become enlightened, one has to eliminate desire. Buddha taught that desire is the root of suffering; that it causes attachment, which leads to suffering, and in turn causes other beings to suffer. This produces negative karma. If one eliminates desire and stops causing suffering, one can become enlightened, as he had.
So you ask "without the desire for life what is there?" There is enlightenment and when one seeks this liberation and to end suffering he/she eventually desires nothing. Having no desires he/she is content.
