I believe there is a time and a place for both. Can we not appreciate the beauty of a rose garden, with the delicious fragrance and delicate beauty of the roses ? And the soft, velvet touch of the rose petals ? I do not think that Yogananda would like us to ignore such a delight, it enhances the senses, to appreciate the gifts that God has given us in this life. I think a meditation in a rose garden would be a delightful place to be as we raise our consciousness to God in appreciation for all the gifts He has given to us.
