Rationalize

When confronted with the contradiction or blind spot in someone ones mindsets, instead of listening many people attempt rationalize their beliefs and mindsets. The explain why they do them with a convincing response that satisfies themselves instead of someone else.

If we are witness of other people rationalizing a lot; perhaps we should look at ourselves and see if we also do it? Does life make sense? So we attract to us what is part of us? Or should
we say to ourselves and others that life has been treating me bad, instead of considering that we our selves may make trouble for ourselves?
