when i go into meditation....hands become ... big....they first appear as two cupped hands then into some huge basket the size of,,, iamnotusrewhattocompareto,,,,the world ? ...some sort of never ending black hole..

hmm...interesting.  i am quite sure that i am not the only one here this happens to

quiet the mind, quiet the toes - difficult to meditate when wandering all over the place ! 

lots of questions, good questions all

service - one must take care of oneself in order to take care of others

guidance - "listening to Heart and being proven wrong... of course maybe later we draw some deeper level of Understanding- and our seemingly wrong choice ended up being the right one.
seems hard sometimes yeah?"

Heart and mind not always in sync - when listening to Heart, focus on love - and who is to say what is wrong ? sometimes this is just mind perception, logical thinking vs thinking with love

meditation /focus - can be different for different people
what do you want ? in meditation ?
searching for God ?
questions answered ?
peace and quiet of mind ?
combination of above ? choice is yours !

Thanks for recognizing my mistake Prabhat. it should read like this: If the hand is closed nothing can go in and nothing will go out. If your hand is open there is room for more to come in and plenty to give out. If you read when i posted it (4:40 A.M.) it becomes apparent why i wasn't seeing/thinking clearly.

It's interesting you know; i told my aunt once that i could see no way that i could give her back what she has given me and that was her response.
