He was not a conspiracy theorist. He was not an anonymous whistleblower. He was the Canadian Minister of National Defence and he said it out loud with his name, his title, and his career attached to every word.

Paul Hellyer, who served as Canada's Minister of National Defence in the 1960s and rose to become one of the highest ranking government officials in Canadian history, spent the final decades of his life making statements that placed him in a category occupied by very few people of his institutional stature.

He said UFOs are real. He said multiple alien species have visited Earth. He said some of those species have directly interacted with governments, including the government of the United States, and that those interactions have been systematically concealed from the public for decades.

He named specific species. He described specific programs. He called the cover-up the greatest deception in human history and said the secrecy surrounding it serves the interests of military industrial powers who have reverse engineered alien technology and refused to release it. Hellyer held security clearances and institutional access that most humans never approach.

He chose to use what he knew rather than take it to his grave. When a former Defense Minister says multiple alien species have visited Earth, the word conspiracy no longer applies.
