Clifford Stone is not an ordinary claimant. He is a U.S. Army veteran who testified at the historic 2001 Disclosure Project event at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. before hundreds of journalists and cameras, claiming under penalty of perjury that he served on a classified military retrieval team whose mission was to recover crashed extraterrestrial craft and non-human entities on behalf of the United States government. He further claimed that by 1989 the government had catalogued 57 distinct alien species.

During what Stone describes as an encounter in a jungle environment, he came face to face with a 4 foot Grey alien and in a moment of fear and military instinct, raised his M16 and opened fire at point blank range, emptying the full magazine into the entity.

Instead a voice appeared directly inside Stone's mind, bypassing his ears entirely, delivering 7 words with a calm that he describes as more unsettling than any physical threat could have been. "Clifford, what are you doing here? You are not supposed to be here."
