Spiritual or Physical Body?

I’ve been aware of the dichotomy we are experiencing on the earth plain with more acuteness recently. I think when I was younger I went through such changes but took them more for granted as though it was a coat or pants I wore at the time.

Now after meditating for most my life I seem to be more and more aware that we are spiritual beings imprisoned in physical bodies. I’ve even taken notice of the fact that I often see meditation as a physical exercise and practice rather than a spiritual practice bringing spiritual energies up and down our spine in Kriya practice and visualizing such energies in for instance the IAM technique by Amma.

A prison, yes, a bodily prison.

But sometimes we can get trapped in our own mental prison. Crystallized ideas, old stubborn mental habits and ruts, no ability to think outside our own biases.
