Without being a fear monger I hope you are right mccoy. Remember Biden has been given power to be king now also, by Trumpsters appointees in the Supreme Court. I’m hoping he puts the same type of law and order into practice that Trump says is necessary to keep Trumps ‘proud boys’ safe from their violent tendencies, this time around. Because the ‘Fuhrer’ has never shown that type of restraint domestically and has never shown an ability to insure democracy abroad. You certainly have the right to say as you wish on this platform. Steve, but you are linking CNN, the quintessential mainstream media, everyone knows they are heavily biased, in this case against Mr. Trump.

What they say has not much value, the era of mainstream media is finished, and now we have to watch and listen to independent media.

They are much more objective, and not totally in favor of Mr. Trump. Waaaaay more objective than old mainstream, at this point all but unviewable.

All these discussions have given me the opportunity to watch a little mixed channels, and if you choose wisely you can have a more or less undistorted idea of the situation.

But, CNN....  These are the old dinosaurs of the news, trying to avoid extinction by selling themselves to the highest bidder.
Some of'em like Fox News are also biased in favor of Mr. Trump and you should cite them as well at least out of fairness.

By the way, Joe Rogan has interviewed JD Vance and he stood out as a pretty balanced guy., I totally agreed with some of his arguments, not so with others, but a very nice man indeed.

Unfortunately, Ms. Harris wanted to be interviewed at her conditions, which Rogan did not accept. It's unfortunate since she lost a very good opportunity to speak freely and without interruptions. I might have liked her as a human being if not as a candidate.

These interviews with Trump but especially so the one with VAnce, they are going to convince many undecided people.

Harris should have gone to Rogan. But she went to Paris instead. Harris in Paris. won't attract many votes there. Harris in Paris. Not Austin (where Rogan has his studio)  but Paris.

At one time I was heavily influenced by a dear friend here; Eric. But he has since left us… so now I rely on you a lot for a right wing perspective. Democratic Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes says her office will investigate whether former President Trump broke the law when he suggested former U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney should face "nine barrels" at an Arizona rally on Thursday.

Why it matters: Trump's comment is the latest example of his increasingly violent rhetoric against his political enemies as his 2024 campaign winds down.

The campaign against Mr. Trump has been so lengthy and extensive and sometimes based on obvious motives of political persecution and propaganda (like in the alleged Russian collusion, never proved), that now whatever comes from the media, especially so the mainstream media, cannot be believed easily.

I still remember the infamous 'bloodbath'. It was reported as a will to retaliate, instead it was a reference to the car manufacturing sector.

IF Mr Trump has really said something like that, and that's a big IF, it's just part of the so many crazy things he has said. Sometimes he looks and sound like a caricature, a stand-up comedian, but maybe he just likes to be that.

The substance is different since his 4-years mandate, something really happened and not just a hypothesis,  did not prove to be a collapse of freedom and a triumph of dictatorship.
