Jack White Threatens to Sue Trump Campaign Over Use of ‘Seven Nation Army’: ‘Don’t Even Think About Using My Music You Fascists’

Jack White is joining the growing list of angry musicians threatening to sue the Trump campaign over the use of their music in his promotional posts.

On Thursday, White uploaded a screen recording of Donald J. Trump’s Deputy Director of Communications Margo Martin’s X account where she posted a now-deleted video of the Republican nominee walking to the White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army.” White said there was a lawsuit coming from his lawyers, “to add to your five thousand others,” he noted.

“Don’t even think about using my music you fascists,” wrote White in the caption of his post on Instagram. “Have a great day at work today Margo Martin.” He added, “a double fuck you DonOLD for insulting our nation’s veterans at Arlington you scum. You should lose every military family’s vote immediately from that if anything makes sense anymore.”

White was referring to an alleged physical altercation that occurred during the former president’s visit to Arlington National Cemetery. Members of his staff were accused of breaking the site’s rule of unauthorized photography, with CNN reporting a cemetery spokesperson confirmed “there was an incident” and a “report was filed” though no additional details were revealed.

White’s legal threat is one of many coming from major musical acts who have expressed distaste over the use of their music in Trump’s political campaign for presidency. On Thursday morning, it was reported that Universal Music had ordered an official legal notice to Trump‘s presidential campaign due to their unauthorized use of ABBA songs to promote his candidacy. Both Celine Dion and Foo Fighters have also publicly rejected the playing of “My Heart Will Go On” and “My Hero” at 2024 rallies, respectively.
