The benefits of ginseng
Research says that ginseng may:

Reduce inflammation
Improve brain function
Lower the severity of erectile dysfunction (ED)
Boost your immune system
Protect against certain cancers
Increase energy
Lower blood sugar and blood pressure

Ginseng to improve brain function
Experts think we need more research, but a few studies suggest that ginseng might help improve some of your brain functions like memory and cognition.

One study pointed out that ginseng helps reduce inflammation in your brain. This preclinical evidence suggests that ginseng could help your overall cognition and slow down the mental decline that happens for a lot of folks as they age.

One small study showed that ginseng helped improve memory in some middle-aged participants after only one dose. Watch out, sudoku! Ginseng is coming for you.

Another study made a case for taking ginseng on a regular basis after a stressful life event in order to help you get back to homeostasis, or a sense of psychological balance. In other words, ginseng might help people suffering from depression or anxiety from teetering into a worse condition.

I'm still taking Ginseng and, as I wrote in the other post, in a little while I'm going to review the most recent scientific literature on it. This is part of a thesis I'll have to submit to complete a course on supplements I've followed.

I'll get the formal title of 'operator in nutraceutic'. The course has been interesting, it is necessary because I may start a small business later on together with a medical doctor.

Of course, this is another sphere of thoughts which requires careful discrimination in evaluating the concepts presented by researchers (some are clearly biased), by companies (that have a direct interest in reccomending a line of supplements) and by other individuals.

The market of supplements is a huge and little regulated one.

The aspect on Ginseng being the only senolytic with scientific evidence in man has been highlighted by a very credible doctor/researcher of the University of Singapore.

I wonder mccoy; if all ginseng is created equal. I mean I looked for some pills yesterday but a big store like Walmart says that at certain times of the year they have American Ginseng. And I think I’m going to have to get Korean Ginseng at a larger city like Grand Rapids. Then, is powdered better? Or how bout the root itself? Or pills?

Since quitting caffeine I’ve attempted various other energizing or brain enhancers to increase cognitive functioning and capacity as well as energy boosters. I’ve been attempting açaí powder, matcha powder, turmeric root, cinnamon powder and ginger root in blended fruit drinks.

Often it seems like to me that we are doing the best we can to live with a treacherous companion we inhabit called the body; Which at any moment can turn on us unexpectably, i'm just attempting my best to keep it slim and, flexible and able to provide accommodations safely till i'm called to abandon it.

steve, I'm taking the extract with a standardized concentration of ginsenoides, it's a dense dark paste in a small tub which tastes like licorice. Powder usually is the dried root, the dosage of course is different. Red korean ginseng has apparently more ginsenoids, the active molecules, but I'll let you know more details.

Not sure why I’m so interested in these eastern roots and benefits now. It almost seems like a lot of new revelations have entered my life since Jupiter is transiting so close to my ascendent. Mccoy I see you as some kind of soul that was very strong into jyana yoga. Perhaps even some of the Greek philosophers dating back to Socrates and Plato and could be they played a part in the higher spheres of thought we’ve recently discussed. I remember as a child walking around with blankets around me like those ancient philosophers and my mother, for instance, often made comments about why I didn’t dress like the other boys in the United Clones of a Merryland.

I’m beginning with 15,000 Mg’s per serving of Korean Ginseng to see if, like Spider-Man, I can weave my own webs.

I wouldn't expect glamorous results, unless the ginsenoids are exactly the right remedy for a gene polymorphism you might have, or unless coincidentally they have exactly the molecular signaling you need. With supplements the effects are usually milder than with medicines, but there are also no collateral effects, if the dosage is not excessive.
Pls do check the daily dosage, as indicated on the label, it varies according to different products, perhaps it's 1500 mg, that is 1.5 grams.

Thanks mccoy, it (the Korean Ginseng) is indeed 1500 mg. from ‘Natures Truth’. Although the Ginkgo Biloba is only 120 mg. per tablet…. A Walgreens (nation wide drugstore) product.
