If circumstances permit, before making an important determination sit quietly for a few moments and deeply pray for guidance to make the right choice. Do not let it be absent minded mental wandering; talk to God or Guru and mean it. After meditating and praying about your decision put your consciousness on the feeling in your heart. Ask yourself, and try to feel which course appeals to your heart and your common sense. And then act - make your decision then and there.~ Daya Mata

Thanks for the reminder, taking the right decisions is the hardest thing, I often think that whatever I decide, it will be probably wrong.
But using intuition as described by Daya Mata sure will increase the probability of success.

Do not be afraid to make decisions.  Some people are so timid about deciding that they never act with resolved and determination. Indecisiveness is a great blight on the character. It is really much better to make some decision did you take no action at all; because even if you decide wrongly, you will learn by it and will have gained mental strength by trying.  If you remain passive, the only thing you will learn is that you are powerless victim of circumstances. Instead have the courage to face your challenges with decisiveness. ~ Daya Mata

But using intuition as described by Daya Mata sure will increase the probability of success.

I just had the thought,
The Path to Intuition.

In order to see clearly, we must practice Sincerity with Self. If we act contrary to our beliefs, or insincere with our desires- the ability to sense the subtle guidance is clouded.

Remain Flexible to New Ideas

However it doesn’t happen overnight. Do not think as a beginner that you can abandon reason and common sense “because my intuition is guiding me”. Through your persistent prayers for guidance and your receptively, an inner sense will prompt you as to the best way to proceed. When that happens go forward with full faith; but all the while remain flexible: “It seems to me that this is the right way to go. But at anytime Lord, You show me that I have made the wrong choice, I can step back; I can accept correction.”

Sometimes, we get so infatuated with our own ideas or wanted way of doing things, that we strongly resent any suggestion that some other way might be better or equally acceptable. Perhaps at work you have gone to a lot of effort to prepare a proposal but your ideas are rejected. The ego-bounded individual will get upset over such treatment. But that isn’t the right attitude. Do not be the type of person who is irrationally attached to his own idea-it’s his “baby” and you had better use it or else! This is emotional blindness; stubbornly clinging to an idea just because it is “ours” prevents us from recognizing opportunities to expand our perception and understanding.

The thought-infatuation described by Daya Mata occurs pretty frequently with academic figures. They cling so much to their own ideas to lose objectivity and quarrel with whomsoever else objects to them. That's a camp with so many large egos...
