The discussions in the above links focus more on a possible huge computer simulation, while almost ignoring the programmer.

Our perspective in a way is more complete. We know that the simulator is God, he created the codes which rule the cosmos.

There are alternative views of the course, we may reside in a universe within a universe and so on, with an infinite chain of programmers.

We have the advantage of the AOY though, from the words of Yogananda we ought to be in a primary universe, rigorously a simulation programmed by cosmic intelligence guided by the supreme programmer, God.
