Losing track of time

You can feel a sense of friendship and love with a person who is easy to talk to. You can almost lose track of time because you enjoy talking with each other.

However, often with friends and people we are close to we also may have moments like this; a dichotomy when there is the experience of the opposite; an inability to communicate and understand effectively which can cause varying degrees of separation.

I suppose we should be able to take such duality that we experience in intense relationships gracefully. That has been my aspiration and to try and understand how to effectively answer and understand the feelings of others. Although it is also a factor that you cannot please everyone, no matter how much you would like to do so.
