I have found that inspiration and understanding comes to me via meditation. However those moments of insight and deepening attunement quickly dissipate and diminish following meditation. Visions mix with thought forms. At times subtle insights and visions become more pronounced and clearer to the minds eye. For instance colors become more intense, leaving the perception that imagination has given way to real visions.

Everyone to some degree is following their own truth. However when our truth clashes with the truth of others we must suddenly be able to discriminate what is happening? Are we really right or is the other person? Many times we can recognize what is right for us by seeing what we do not care to become when we observe others around us. We may be able to ride on the same wave of perception that someone else is riding for a time and feel the same exhilaration they are feeling. Then when the wave falls we splash into separate realities trying to glean what happened and whether we will ever ride a wave like the one we just experienced with some one else again. The abrasiveness of this material reality and our own biological reactions often gnaw at the peace we tune into during meditation practice. It is like a tug to bring us again and again to our practice.

A recognition that we are being brought back to a harsh reality after inspiration and meditation makes us recognize that what we are experiencing here in this reality is quite a fall and lower dimension than at times we experience in meditation. And, we have glimpses of how we have been pulled away from our true nature of happiness and innate bliss.

What I find is that we meet difficulties with material objects that constantly need attention and care. We also come in contact with others who see things much differently then we do. It is not so hard when you can just simply leave the situation but many times the beliefs of others affect our own lives. When this happens we must decide to willingly submit to their will or come into a recognition that we may no longer be able to work together or be together. Sometimes we recognize that there are others that want something from us that we cannot provide. In these cases we must rely heavily on our spiritual awareness and insight to know what course to take.

We are all guilty of following our own ‘headlines’ in our minds. We believe what our mind tells us. However when we meet those with different ‘headlines’ they accept to be truth, we are faced with the fact that sometimes it is impossible to live with the views of others we encounter. We are seeing that today in Ukraine where some people want a democracy and others say ‘no’ you are under our control. Or in the United States where some say the election was rigged and others say ‘no’ we have proven beyond a reasonable doubt that Biden won.

Many us have found that it is not so easy to change ourselves, let alone others. We resort to other methods like prayer and social activism. At some point we recognize that even social and political discussion and support to issues we find worthy of fighting for fall on deaf ears. At which point we wonder are there other ways of making a difference? Many people with spiritual awareness pray for others and for causes that appear to be unchangeable because of the ‘mindsets’ of the people we face, who have roles they play in social power. At these times we begin to wonder about the depth and ability for us to make change through prayer. At these times we recognize the help meditating contributes to social as well as personal change when it is carried out with depth and consistent practice.

In my last post I explained;

⬆️

Added to the above I want to add; having chose meditation and introspection we begin - slow by slow - to have the ability to separate fact from fiction and the headlines in our head and what we want to believe from what is true.
