I wonder if young people who show 'psychic' potential confuse their past lives because may be any one persons life is accessible as a type of out of body experience? By an unknown means utilizing the akashic records, or a collective consciousness- maybe we can all experience the life of someone already lived. It doesn't necessarily mean it is our past life, or maybe it does, but maybe anyone can tune into the life of another kind of like a psychic voyeur.  Grin

Just a thought. I don't know how else to explain it right now... Just a feeling like it is a level of communication we can all achieve and it has to do with understanding One Consciousness.

I think I read something by Yogananda- he was able to dream of the life of a solider in a war(who may have been alive at the same time as Yogananda). So I don't think this level of experience is limited to just past lives.

To expand on this I think it means time travel is possible. I've dreamt of visiting this city in the 70's it was unique.

And to add, lately I've been witnessing through the eyes of a woman from another planet. She is a type of warrior or leader and has black or brown skin.

I think it's important to remember we're all reflections of the One true love. This Lover will be with us in our final moments, and we may recognize this lover behind many faces in our life. I know I have.

Sometimes I think about the body I worked on to use in this incarnation. I know it requires kindness to have a kind face. Or some loving qualities to wear a loving face. Nothing comes by coincidence... our talents, our understanding, our intelligence our acquisitions. Yea added to what I express.... I’m sure your right Eric. Love can be seen behind many faces. Most of these faces are those we spent many incarnations with developing love and friendship.

An interesting talk!

Quote
Right now, billions of neurons in your brain are working together to generate a conscious experience -- and not just any conscious experience, your experience of the world around you and of yourself within it. How does this happen? According to neuroscientist Anil Seth, we're all hallucinating all the time; when we agree about our hallucinations, we call it "reality."

Do we see reality as it is?

This is a really fun video. I hope you enjoy.  Smiley

I also wonder about the notions of consciousness you have recently provided. If indeed the third dimension is limited to a linear notion of time…..It may be that time does not even take place in our notion of how it should. In fact what happened during the time of for instance, William the Conqueror can not be seen in the same way that may be perceived by a person living a 5 D existence. In other words the century we are living in could be perceived as a different movie theater we are seeing than one with for instance Jesus living. But do they have to be connected in a linear fashion of time? Are there beings that can slip in and out of different time frames periods, that they do not see exhibiting the notion of linear time at all?

https://youtu.be/DmnLewOyuP4?si=dzURemP39gQc18AN

Good morning Steve!

I wasn't sure where to reply to this, because it's all connected. I have a thread about 4D, and yet the thread with Paramahansa Yogananda was about past lives- curiously enough, the original topic here kind of elaborates more on your reply.

I am laying in bed this morning, in conversation with my self about the very topic.

The way I think I understand it... First and foremost... Is I am using the words additional dimensions because higher dimensions seems a little misleading. I think people confuse the word higher with going UP but additional dimensions implies what is not ordinarily perceived AROUND and moves WITHIN and exist OUTSIDE. Just some ideas here friends.

So I think time is the 4D, and we do not perceive time as a physical manifestation. We experience it linearly because our 3D experience is linear. Yet time exist entirely whole, past-present and future. The example I was recently provided is like going down a river. The river is time, but our experience is limited in that we have to go down the river. But what is behind us is still an active river. What waits ahead of us, is already there.

So now we think of these additional dimensions and I ask where does it all come from- I think all is consciousness. And consciousness does not solely reside in our brain. Mystics do not equate the MIND as their BRAIN.

We get confused here thinking additional dimensions means experiencing physical manifestation in a manner we're accustomed. But I think these additional dimensions mean experiencing consciousness with axis or geometric space we do not ordinarily perceive. I think these, "higher dimensions" people refer to can be sensed in meditations, NDE's, OBE's, and we learn not as a separate entity but WITH something that seems both WITHIN and AROUND us.

I think this is why "Self-Realization" is beautiful terminology and very fitting.

Always happy to hear from you Eric. I wonder how these states of consciousness and dimensions fit in with yoga and Pantanjali’s experiences and describing them? Perhaps you can help in describing the relationship here.
Members,

I want you to check out "Patanjali and His Eightfold Path of Yoga" on Spiritual Portal.  To view it, please click this link:

Eric, it appears so far that you did not get around to see my last entry here, which is not surprising since I do not get to all your entries either, but am grateful for your substantial contributions. I wonder if you see any relationship between the different dimensions you speak of and have perhaps experienced and Pantanjali’s 8 fold path, which do include elevated, or for lack of better words, different states of consciousness, and awareness.

I would like to continue to share the wisdom of our dear friend Hazrat Inayat Khan. I have no doubt we would all befriend such an insightful Being. And like the other influential figures we share here, it seems they all reveal to us a most important idea we continually forget. That God is the ultimate goal. God is the journey and the destination. God is all there is. In their expressions, they bring their fellow man, "to the shores of God."

We have our idiosyncrasies as unique personalities made incarnate, whether others agree with them or not is not something I care to focus on so much anymore. There is a greater purpose that I hope to anchor within the fore of my awareness. Ultimately, the journey is *meant* to be unique. But I look forward to the moments, when we realize, our destination is the same. I hope your suffering is liberating, and that you liberate your self from suffering. --- > You, being whoever is reading these words. And I include my self, in the new years prayer.

God is great. Allelujiah allelujah ! Our ULTIMATE LOVE.
Please remember, as grand narratives compete for our attention and participation, we are all Gods children.

Happy new year. <3 <3 01/01/2024 <3 <3

Different methods called religions and philosophies have been adopted by different nations at various periods. Though the form and teachings of the several religions appear so unlike, their source is one and the same. But from the very beginning the differences have created prejudice, envy, and antagonism between man. Such dissensions occupy a large portion of the histories of the world and have become the most important subject in life.

So many castes and so many creeds,
So many faiths, and so many beliefs,
All have arisen from ignorance of man,
Wise is he who only truth conceives.

A wise man realizes that the fundamental basis of all religions and beliefs is one: Haqq, or truth. ... Those who see the truth uncovered abandon reason and logic, good and bad, high and low, new and old; differences and distinctions of names and forms fade away, and the whole universe is realized as nothing other than Haqq. Truth in its realization is one; in its representation it is many, since its revelations are made under varying conditions of time and space.

As water in a fountain flows in one stream but falls in many drops, divided by time and space, so are the revelations of the one stream of truth.

Prayer for New Year, by Hazrat Inayat Khan

O Thou who abidest in our hearts,
most Merciful and Compassionate God, Lord of Heaven and Earth,
we forgive others their trespasses and ask Thy forgiveness of our shortcomings.
We begin the New Year with pure heart and clear conscience, with courage and hope.
Help us to fulfil the purpose of our lives under Thy divine guidance.

We appreciate your thoughts from Hazrat Khan Eric. I am fine with you not putting so much attention to whether ‘others agree or not.’  My only point is this; if we are still in duality how do we deal with the challenges of others inflicting suffering on their fellow man? And how are the Masters helping to resolve these immediate inequalities and sufferings?

Each Master seems to have his or her own purpose to help us. I have found that Amma is the closest to dealing directly with the ‘problems’ as they unfold here on the earth plane. She and her devotees go directly to the ‘epicenter’ of where the challenges originate and bring financial help and their services.
