A total lunar eclipse occurred on 26 May 2021. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon moves into the Earth's shadow. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are exactly or very closely aligned with Earth between the other two, which can only happen at a full moon. The eclipsed moon appeared as a faint red disk in the sky due to a small amount of light being refracted through the earth's atmosphere; this appearance gives a lunar eclipse its nickname of a Blood Moon.

Once in a while, the typical 28-day lunar cycle experiences a major hiccup. This hiccup is known as eclipse season and it takes place roughly every six months, when a lunar and/or solar eclipse occur within the span of a few weeks. During this time, you may find that things are changing and they’re changing fast. After all, an eclipse happens when a full moon (or a new moon) takes place close to the lunar nodes. And in astrology, the lunar nodes are what catapult you toward destiny, sharply removing anything that’s currently standing in your way.

The lunar nodes are made up of two points in the sky — the North Node and the South Node. The North Node describes all the ways you can grow, reach your fullest potential, and do what you came to this earth to do. The South Node represents everything you’ve already come into this life understanding, because you’ve already experienced it in your past lives. To keep things simple, the North Node represents your future while the South Node signifies the past. A lunar eclipse, as you may already know, takes place when the full moon crosses into the shadow of the Earth, aka the “umbra.” This shadow is what flushes the moon in its signature crimson red color, earning it the moniker of a “blood moon.” This magical, yet ominous effect has major, undeniable significance in astrology.

Very good information on the lunar eclipse tomorrow and through part of the nite here in the United States.

Pam Gregory gives several views about the massive changes ahead of us with this lunar eclipse.

I've attempted meditation and gazed upon the setting sun. The energy is something else right now, heat in my hands and a light head. Settle in my fellow practicioners! Enjoy this rare event =)

Peace and Love

I was out tonight jogging and the clouds are a little bit like a nightlight we would have in a room. You can still see the ground here because it has been snowing here and the light of the clouds and the full moon was lighting the snow and reflecting off the snow. I’m getting my rest right now so that I can get up or wake up later tonight and have the full benefit of meditation during the eclipse of the Moon. The longest eclipse in five hundred years. 97% of the Moons surface will be covered by the shadow of the earth.

Must admit; no major breakthroughs and some minor frustrations on a personal level. However, still making progress on keeping my weight down ( lost 5 pounds in only a couple of days!) which I’m grateful for and actually does involve the sixth house and the Moon in my sixth house, also finding a stronger ability to see closure in relationships that now seem to have served their purpose. Which the lunar eclipse triggered and has helped me move forward and let go of a some worn out past issues.

On a world and national level; It is for us to see the long term benefits of this unusual event and more events yet to happen soon that may be a sequel to such a long lasting lunar eclipse. One being the conjunction to natal Pluto by transiting Pluto in the U.S. natal chart. Others were mentioned in the first video above…. Pam Gregory above and in the mundane astrology section on this site. I found the Tania Gabriel video here rings through especially about T-squares since I’ve had one in my chart since birth. I’m making progress in breathing focus during meditation which are emphasized in the videos I included above and I will continue to use. I just read that the 1.75 trillion Build Back Better Act bill passed the house early this morning! Be interested to know what some of your experiences are in relation to the Moon eclipse.

I see some permanent affects of the great eclipse of the Moon more clearly as the times passes. The Scorpio influence of the eclipse has given me more closure and resolution to personal challenges but it was taking place very close to my natal moon so in that sense emotional issues have come to a conclusion.

Quote
The full moon is the time to release attachments or blocks and barriers to our worthiness, and open ourselves to greater receiving and inspiration. The energy of a full moon is always that of a cycle coming to a height of its current resonance. Whatever you needed to let go of, whatever changes you needed to make, an eclipse on the full moon can help you to release and let go and open to the new.

Doing a small personal ritual on the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, like lighting a candle or writing an intention down on paper and burning it, can help you to engage the energies of release and usher in new changes.

The energy of this Lunar Eclipse will last through the beginning of the new year and will open a new gateway of energy that is productive, active and positive.

Change is constant. We talk about growth and change and letting go of the things that no longer serve us with hope. But the reality is, change is uncomfortable and can bring up a lot of fear of the unknown.

We like things that are familiar and comfortable, even our worst habits can be serving us in some way by keeping us small and comfortable. Real change requires us to be conscious of our emotions and feelings. We can step into a new way of being by honoring and recognizing ourselves and the natural rhythms of life.

Trust whatever is unfolding in your life as natural to the cycles of transformation and change and know that it is all for a higher purpose.

no problem…. Here it is…friend

A super-long blood moon is coming. Here's how to see it.
For viewers across the Americas, an extra large full moon will turn deep blood red for nearly an hour and a half on May 15 and 16.

Sky-watchers across the Americas and in parts of Europe and Africa will have front-row seats to a nighttime spectacle on May 15 and 16: a long-lasting total lunar eclipse.
The large full moon will be totally eclipsed by Earth, bathing the lunar surface in shades of deep red. This phenomenon is why total lunar eclipses are commonly called blood moons, and this particular eclipse will be one of the longest of the decade.

This eclipse will also appear a little grander than usual. The moon will be near its perigee, or closest point to Earth, making it seem a bit larger in the sky, a phenomenon known as a supermoon. During the eclipse, the moon will be 225,015 miles from Earth.

Additionally, the May full moon is sometimes known as a flower moon in the Northern Hemisphere, a tribute to the colorful blooms that appear in early spring. So the May 15 eclipse may be called a super flower blood moon.

The important thing, though, is that Earth’s shadow will bathe the moon in a deep red—one of the most eye-catching sights of the night sky—for nearly an hour and a half.

The total phase of the eclipse, when the moon is at its deepest red, will begin on May 15 at 11:29 p.m. EDT, and it will last until 12:54 a.m. on May 16 (3:29 a.m. to 4:54 a.m. UTC on May 16). The entire phase of totality will be visible in all of South America and across most of North America, as well as in parts of Africa and Europe. In some parts of the Pacific Northwest, the already-eclipsed moon will rise just before the sun sets, brightening as it climbs into the night sky.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A LUNAR ECLIPSE?
Lunar eclipses occur when the sun, Earth, and moon line up properly for the moon to pass into Earth’s shadow. This doesn't happen every time the moon makes its monthly trek around our planet because the moon's orbit is tilted. But roughly three times a year, the moon passes through at least part of Earth’s shadow.

Nicknamed "blood moon," some ancient cultures regarded a total lunar eclipse as an ominous event. Today, this celestial phenomenon generates excitement and wonder. Unlike a solar eclipse, which may require travel to see, total lunar eclipses can often be observed from the entire nighttime-half of the Earth. Learn what causes a lunar eclipse and how it gains its crimson coloring.

Lunar eclipses happen only during a full moon, and about 29 percent are total lunar eclipses, when the entire moon passes through the dark central cone of Earth’s shadow, known as the umbra.

The ruddy coloration of the fully eclipsed lunar disk occurs because sunlight hitting the moon gets filtered through Earth’s atmosphere, scattering the blue light and letting the red pass through. It’s the same reason we see the normally yellow sun turn red during sunsets.

HOW TO SEE THE BLOOD RED MOON
Unlike a solar eclipse, which requires special equipment to observe safely, you can watch a lunar eclipse with unaided eyes. A pair of binoculars allows you to see an impressive amount of detail on the moon, but you can watch a lunar eclipse without any gear from anywhere you could see the full moon.

The moon will dim to a dull charcoal color before it turns blood red, and the color can vary significantly from one eclipse to the next depending on the particles in our planet’s atmosphere. Clouds of ash thrown into the stratosphere by a recent volcanic eruption in the Kingdom of Tonga in the southern Pacific Ocean, for example, may turn the moon's face an even deeper shade of red than a typical lunar eclipse.

Lucky sky-watchers across the eastern half of North America and in all of Central and South America will be able to see the entire spectacle from beginning to end. Most of western North America can see at least part of the eclipse as well, with only parts of Alaska and northern Canada missing it entirely.

At least part of totality will also be visible from most of Africa and Western Europe, while some parts of West Asia will be able to see partial phases of the eclipse.

Keen-eyed observers may notice that, during totality, the sky surrounding the moon will appear much darker, revealing nearby bright stars. The orange-colored star Antares, for instance, which will be visible to the bottom left of the moon. Sky-watchers away from light pollution may even be able to spot the glow of the Milky Way during the eclipse.

This eclipse marks the first of two total lunar eclipses visible from North America this year. The next one will be on November 8, and coincidentally, it will last almost exactly as long as the May 15 eclipse.

The eclipse this spring, however, will occur earlier in the night, making it the perfect opportunity to stay up and watch the celestial show.

Thanks to Eric and Kelly for reminding me… really been feeling some energies! I’m of the opinion it is because of the depth of Scorpio ♏️ involved with this eclipse… from Taurus ♉️ Sun to a Scorpio Moon.
Looks like tonite we get the full affects and i’m hoping to be up and see it…. at least experience it as I have already been doing since the full Moon started this time round.

The Lunar Eclipse Of May 2022 Will Affect These 4 Zodiac Signs The Most
Roya Backlund
Sun, May 15, 2022, 2:06 PM·3 min read

If you’re currently undergoing some major life changes, you might have the lunar eclipse of May 2022 to blame. After all, eclipses are often the harbinger of pivotal moments in your life, speeding you up toward your ultimate destiny. Occurring in place of a full moon, a lunar eclipse tends to be a *much* more powerful experience, thanks to the fact that it activates the lunar nodes. These notes include the North Node—which guides you toward your inevitable fate—and the South Node—which breaks you away from what is no longer meant for you. And when a total lunar eclipse in Scorpio rises on May 16 at 12:14 a.m. ET, you might find yourself feeling forced to let go of something that’s been weighing you down. If you happen to have your sun sign, moon sign or rising sign in Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius, then get ready, because this blood moon might be the most significant moment of your entire year.

Because this lunar eclipse will join forces with the South Node in Scorpio, it will be a *much* more chaotic experience than the solar eclipse in Taurus, which took place on April 30. In astrology, the South Node represents the past. It reveals the truth of everything you’ve already learned and experienced, showing you what you’re ready to leave behind in favor of something new. You might be realizing that some of the habits, relationships and mindsets you’ve been clinging onto no longer have a place in your future. And when this blood-moon-lunar-eclipse spreads its red-hot light throughout the night sky, you might find yourself saying goodbye to something you’ve already outgrown.
