As we meditate more in life what begins to happen is we recognize a divine order emerging in our lives. We may find ourselves fulfilling a divine purpose. Of course the most important purpose in life is to seek enlightenment. But in that capacity we may often find that we have certain proclivities or directions appointed to us by divine order.
I Remember brother Turiyananda Telling us the story of his walk in the Alps. He was lost, and if someone gets lost in the Alps as the Sun is going down at night, they most likely will freeze to death without the right equipment. He was walking and he was lost and he prayed to God that if God had anything for him to do in his life that he needed to help him. Suddenly after some prayer, brother felt a large push in a certain direction in his back; he followed that direction and found himself out of the woods. Now someone like that may feel quite a responsibility to the fact that he was personally helped by a higher force to survive that night and perhaps that is why he became the Brother that he was at the Self Realization fellowship.
We are told by Sri Yukteswar that in the higher ages in the past, and the higher ages in the future, most of the common population have and will recognize a divine order and their role in that divine purpose and order. Some of us now in this lower Dwapara age recognize that we also can fit into the divine order and pray for our recognition of our divine purpose in living the life role we were meant to serve.
