Intereststs; Meditation/Spiritual Life

« on: Oct 14, 2021 02:02 pm »

Are there times we temporarily abandon our spiritual practice? I believe so. But admittedly this may be because of my own spiritual ignorance. I have just found that at times we are in certain circumstances that makes it difficult to practice meditation for a day. Yet we can always think of our relationship to our creator and get back to our practices very soon. Perhaps we can also become too rigid in our spiritual practices and not vary in our regimen. I have often considered this. Especially since I have met others who are unbendable about their own lifestyles. I have heard it said that if nothing else; we can always think of God and/or our spiritual practices.

Considering the host of our consciousness, the material body, is always changing and effects our awareness from biological, environmental and so many other factors it would seem unrealistic to think we can always practice, or always want to practice. Much like exercise, we have to find a rhythm that works for us, a progress we find satisfactory, alongside ample rest. Even if we wanted to always exercise, our body will show us this is unrealistic- even harmful.

All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.

Personally I think there's a relationship between Spirit and Matter that ought to be considered, respected and even enjoyed.

Thank you for the reminder... "God is with me."

Now and all ways.
