Why evil exists.

An ideal existence is not impossible, but it is for a different time and realm reserved for those who have graduated from the learning assignments of earth life. For the ordinary man in his present stage of evolution, a life without difficulties would be of little value. No lessons of growth would be learned, no transformations of inflexible natures into godly consciousness, no compelling incentives to seek and know one's Maker.

After learning the lesson of admiring the hero in preference to the villain, one realizes that both good and evil men are creations of the One Beam; as shadows, they have no intrinsic difference. Thus analyzing good and evil, one should try to rise above both, realizing that sin and virtue cannot affect the nondual changeless soul that is made in the image of God.

If Masters like Yogananda walked this earth, or Jesus Christ, could Lucifer also exist? I read he was once an angel. Are angels aliens? Or advanced beings that once roamed this earth? If christ-like figures roam the plane- could not devils? Gurunath mentioned something once like, masters get together to discuss matters of universal evolution. They've combatted great evil before. I wonder how this hierarchy works, and if they really aren't so different from us the 'higher' or 'lower' you go.

But I guess I am also just trying to say, if we have proof of christ like figures having existed- certainly there are beings like Lucifer to walk the plane too. What I find curious is anyone that would scoff another for religious dogma, or believing in something like the devil- while themselves performing rituals and the like in the name of invoking angels and adopting another cultures philosophies to find enlightenment.

Sorry for the side-real but I was curious because Yogananda is one of the most christ-like figures we know to have roamed the earth. At least based on the information we've read.

I've dreamt once of meeting Satan who was actually a teenaged-alien abusing psychic powers. But that's not the same experience others seem to have.
