A resonating quote from Hazrat Khan

What has taken possession of this accommodation? A deluded ego that says, 'I.' It is deluded by this body and mind and it has called itself an individual. When a man has a ragged coat he says, 'I am poor'. In reality his coat is poor, not he. What this capacity or accommodation contains is that which becomes his knowledge, his realization, and it is that which limits him. It forms that limitation which is the tragedy of every soul.

Now, this capacity may be filled with self, or it may be filled with God. There is only room for one. Either we live with our limitation, or we let God reign there in His unlimited Being.

Thanks for its inclusion Eric!

In Relationships when we feel that others are attempting to control and dominate us it is out of the need to  feel we or a country has its destiny in its own hands. It is not us or a country or a group of people that have there determination and control of their lives, because to have control of our lives also means that we would have to control the land around us and the people around us. This is an impossibility, that will soon be met with resistance and opposition by outsides forces. It is an expression of ego. God gives and takes away. Nothing is static but rather in a constant state of change and we are unable to control that.

Yes, USA has often been described of as a bully.

SI did you watch President Trumps town hall last night? I was particularly impressed by his demeanor during an assault styled interview. It was refreshing.

I will still be voting for RFK JR personally. But I do pray for Trumps well being. We have indeed made a mess of things... And the more I try to see things with calm, patient eyes...

The more I realize the state of affairs can not be chalked up to good guys vs bad guys.

This being my personal opinion.

I have friends from China, and our employees are from China too. Some are ok with the way things are(in their nation), some are not. Is it any different elsewhere?

I have a similar view as you here Eric with the reservation that some people actually are not only bullies but they glorify the ego.

Donald Trump once owned up to the force driving him in life: ego.

“Almost every deal I have ever done has been at least partly for my ego,” the billionaire declared in a 1995 New York Times piece titled, “What My Ego Wants, My Ego Gets.”

What 70-year-old Donald John Trump wants now is the U.S. presidency. To understand why, consider the billionaire’s ego not just as mere mortals might see it (an outsized allotment of conceit) but also as Trump himself understands it (an extraordinary drive for excitement, glamour and style that produces extraordinary success.)

“People need ego,” Trump has said. “Whole nations need ego.”

In his remarks he exemplifies what Paramahansa Yogananda called the main problem of the
United States; “Misplaced Priorities “.

Ego manifests when people think they require special treatment. I call these people Personal Gems. They feel as though some how their view or needs are somehow special, and if others do not recognize their need’s automatically, they are somehow exclusive or perceive others - instead of themselves - as the cause of irritations. Many times they will not take the responsibility for their own personal irritation and time consuming tasks. They require other people to take extra time to manage the waves they cause in their environment.

Ego in ourselves and those we meet including our friends also can be hard and cold hearted. It limits expression and attempts to confine and limit others so that it can manifest in spite of the beauty of others. It makes us shutter and attempt to get away from such vibrations manifest in even so called friends. We may at times find we have had toxic friendships.
