In Relationships when we feel that others are attempting to control and dominate us it is out of the need to feel we or a country has its destiny in its own hands. It is not us or a country or a group of people that have there determination and control of their lives, because to have control of our lives also means that we would have to control the land around us and the people around us. This is an impossibility, that will soon be met with resistance and opposition by outsides forces. It is an expression of ego. God gives and takes away. Nothing is static but rather in a constant state of change and we are unable to control that.
Yes, USA has often been described of as a bully.
SI did you watch President Trumps town hall last night? I was particularly impressed by his demeanor during an assault styled interview. It was refreshing.
I will still be voting for RFK JR personally. But I do pray for Trumps well being. We have indeed made a mess of things... And the more I try to see things with calm, patient eyes...
The more I realize the state of affairs can not be chalked up to good guys vs bad guys.
This being my personal opinion.
I have friends from China, and our employees are from China too. Some are ok with the way things are(in their nation), some are not. Is it any different elsewhere?
I have a similar view as you here Eric with the reservation that some people actually are not only bullies but they glorify the ego.
Donald Trump once owned up to the force driving him in life: ego.
“Almost every deal I have ever done has been at least partly for my ego,” the billionaire declared in a 1995 New York Times piece titled, “What My Ego Wants, My Ego Gets.”
What 70-year-old Donald John Trump wants now is the U.S. presidency. To understand why, consider the billionaire’s ego not just as mere mortals might see it (an outsized allotment of conceit) but also as Trump himself understands it (an extraordinary drive for excitement, glamour and style that produces extraordinary success.)
“People need ego,” Trump has said. “Whole nations need ego.”

United States; “Misplaced Priorities “.
