I wonder what passes thru your mind when you think of this ‘addiction’ as you call it. The reason I ask is that I drink quite a bit of coffee myself.

Such incredible wisdom here...with some people you just have this feeling... there is something they have that is very important to offer you. This man is that type of man.. and this video warrants more than one listen. Thanks Eric.... you have an antenna for finding such wisdom and then sharing it. It is much appreciated and it makes this-our forum and everyone who uses it- a special and unique place... because of unique and gifted people like your SELF who frequent it and contribute their experiences and expression to it. I may not be here as long on this earthly dimension as you and others who have come and gone and at times return. But somehow I know you will keep it going and remember that we spent a short time here not to focus on our differences but the incredible commonalities that brought us together in the first place. At times I also have to remind myself about that with dear friends like you.

Eric I woke up today thinking about this video you sent me and haven’t had coffee yet today. There has been a lot of talk among nutritionists lately about the benefits of coffee. However as a teenager their was a lot of talk about the benefits of meat and potatoes and nutritionists have dramatically changed their tune about that. Perhaps it was promoted because of the cattle and pork industry.

I have somewhat gotten away from the advice of Paramahansa Yogananda that coffee and stimulants such as tea which has tafiene in it our not helpful to spiritual growth and if you are trying to improve your memory to try to avoid them.

I was quite surprised that Sadhguru mentioned that large quantities of for instance garlic and other roots intended for medicinal use are not good for you on a regular basis...and pepper on the contrary is. I wonder if he means black pepper or red pepper or both? This idea of so called panic food interests me.

In Michigan we have more difficulties getting vegetables and fruits at a reasonable price in the winter since they come from so far south from here and west from here. In the summer however we can even have our own gardens. I often resort to sprouts in the winter since they can be added to salads. I also drink drinks like Ovaltine and frozen fruits from the summer months to mix with smoothies.
