Sometimes in our life we suddenly have an epiphany that many of the things and motions we have been doing and going thru, and many of the friends we have been keeping are no longer constructive or helpful to our widening perspective due to spiritual practice. In fact we may even be enabling them in their old worn out habits by continuing to try to make things work out when no constructive action seems forthcoming and our own sentimentality is not helpful for all involved.

Are we, as spiritual beings, really creatures of habit or is the term more applicable to the walking dead and psychological antiques we witness in our encounters with the world? Perhaps you too have taken a quick walk through the Twilight Zone and have had the feeling of touring a museum of artifacts in your in encounters with the world. Events like this Coronavirus pandemic have that constructive aspect. Since it gives us pause for reflection as the world plunges head first into an abyss more suited for the dregs of civilization. Being quarantined or put in isolation is not such a bad condition for spiritual aspiration and those familiar with the long periods of time in seclusion that are necessary for spiritual realization. Perhaps in one way or another we have already lived a life of social isolation due to higher forces in motion helping our spiritual unfoldment. Recently I chatted with a friend who lives in an ashram and he told me that monasteries and places where he lived were examples to the world of how the inner life should be aspired to in our lives. We may consider making sweeping changes in our life and take a plunge into unknown territory embracing it as a opening to a better life.

nice introspection. it is through the attracting or repulsing actions of others we recognize a familiarity within... our desire for freedom is the soul cry not to be ruled by ignorance or maybe, to live in an inspiring beauty. truly only god is a suitable judge for each individual and so, what we think we see is to help us make a desired change within. if we are successful, if we can overcome our ignorance, there'd be no concern of what someone else does or doesn't do.

for amma to consider us her children she takes a loving perspective to us, this walking dead you've described... since we are not masters, i don't see the harm in distancing or being open to a wildly new perspective, change is a way of life... i only caution so you'd hold on to hope and forgiveness, have loving thoughts for those suffering and all who have entered in the field of your consciousness.

you've said it before, this life is a world of mirrors.

Because of the limitations of time places on us all in this dimension we all have to manage our time. As we decide what we can do in a specificities time frame and with the recourses available to us we make comparisons and describe our comparisons with descriptive terminology.
